SMS Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the text messaging (SMS) program operated by Lao Lao Acupuncture Center ("we," "us," "our"). By providing your mobile phone number and opting in, you agree to these Terms.
1. Program description
Our SMS program sends messages related to your care at Lao Lao Acupuncture Center, including appointment confirmations and reminders, scheduling changes, responses to inquiries you submit (such as through our online coverage or intake forms), and occasional service updates. This program does not send marketing or promotional messages unless you separately opt in to receive them.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the parent/guardian of a patient, and the owner or authorized user of the mobile number provided, to opt in to this program.
3. How to opt in
You may opt in to receive text messages from us by providing your mobile phone number and consenting to be contacted by text — in person or by phone with our staff, or by submitting your number through our secure online intake or coverage-verification forms. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving care and is not shared, sold, or transferred to any third party for marketing purposes.
4. Message frequency
Message frequency varies depending on your appointments and inquiries. You should not expect more than a few messages per month under typical use.
5. Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier plan. Delivery of texts is subject to effective transmission from your network operator.
6. How to opt out
You can cancel text messages from us at any time. Reply STOP to any message from us. After you send the message "STOP," we will send you a reply message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed, and you will no longer receive text messages from this program. If you would like to receive messages again, contact us as described below and we will re-add you.
7. Getting help

8. Carrier liability
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We are not responsible for any delays or failures in the receipt of any text messages, as delivery is subject to effective transmission from your network operator.
9. Privacy of your information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding vendors acting solely on our behalf to deliver messages to you. All other categories of personal and health information are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued participation in our SMS program after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. The "Effective" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
